Soro alternative: 5 SEO autopilot tools compared

What Soro does, what it costs and how SEO.ai, Surfer, Koala, HubSpot's AI blog writer and Outvori compare if you want articles that bring customers.

Looking for a Soro alternative? Start with what you want the tool to do. For more control over each article, SEO.ai and Surfer give you more editing and optimization tools. Koala is priced by words, which suits cheap, high-volume drafts. A site already on HubSpot has the shortest path in its AI blog writer. And if you want articles plus outreach and social posts that bring customers directly, that is what Outvori does, with fewer publishing integrations than Soro.

This comparison is written by the Outvori team. Every price below is as listed on the vendor's own pricing page on 2 November 2026, USD per month. Where a page does not show a number, we say so.

What Soro does

Soro describes itself as a tool that "writes, optimizes, and posts SEO content proven to rank on Google and ChatGPT, all while you sleep", and its homepage headline says it "finds the exact keywords that bring you buyers" (trysoro.com). In practice it is an autopilot: it picks keywords, writes a long-form article every day, adds internal links and images, and publishes it for you.

From Soro's pricing page on 2 November 2026:

  • Price: "Starting from $18/mo" during a 77% off promotion. The regular price and the price of each plan were not shown on the pricing page.
  • Volume: "30 to unlimited articles per month" depending on plan, with a new post created every morning.
  • Publishing: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Notion, HubSpot, Ghost and Next.js, plus webhooks for custom setups.
  • Languages: 50+ languages.
  • Risk: a 14-day money-back guarantee and no contracts.

Soro's real strengths are breadth and hands-off publishing. Eight native CMS integrations and 50+ languages is more than most tools in this list, including ours.

Why people look for a Soro alternative

The reasons we hear most:

  • Traffic is not customers. An article a day can grow impressions without growing sales. Many owners want SEO plus a way to reach the companies that would actually buy.
  • Quality control. Fully automatic publishing is convenient, but Google's guidance on generative AI content says it is "critical to manually factcheck and review all AI-generated content", and its spam policies name "using generative AI tools or other similar tools to generate many pages without adding value for users" as scaled content abuse.
  • Pricing clarity. A promotional starting price with no regular price shown makes it hard to budget for year two.
  • Overlap between articles. Publishing daily on a narrow topic can produce several pages competing for the same query. See keyword cannibalization for how to spot it.

SEO.ai: an AI colleague for one site

SEO.ai's pricing page lists Single Site at $149 a month "for one website in one language" and Multi Site at $299 for up to 3 websites or languages, with 25% off for yearly billing (the exact yearly price is not shown). It connects to most CMSs, including WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace and Shopify, and you choose between automatic publishing, saving as drafts or reviewing in the platform. There is a 7-day trial and no binding period on monthly plans. The page does not state an article count per month.

Choose SEO.ai if you want an autopilot similar to Soro with a review step and Squarespace support, and the higher price is fine.

Surfer: when you want to edit and optimize

Surfer is an optimization tool first. Its pricing page shows plans billed yearly: Discovery at $49 a month (120 documents), Standard at $99 (360 documents, WordPress and Google Docs integrations), Pro at $182 and Peace of Mind at $299. Monthly-billing prices were not shown on the pricing page. Surfer says it works with all languages and includes Surfy, its AI writing assistant.

Choose Surfer if you or a writer will edit every article and you want a content score and keyword guidance while you do it. It is not built to publish an article every day on its own.

Koala: when price per word matters

Koala's pricing page prices by words: Starter at $25 a month for 45,000 words, Professional at $49 for 100,000 words, Boost at $99 for 250,000 words, and higher tiers up to $2,000. Paid plans publish to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow and Ghost, with webhooks for anything else, and annual billing saves 20%. New accounts get 5,000 free words with no card. Note that the page says more expensive AI models count words at two or three times the rate.

Choose Koala if you want lots of drafts for little money and plan to edit them yourself.

HubSpot AI blog writer: when your site already lives in HubSpot

HubSpot's AI blog writer page says you can start blogging for free, that "most generative features are paid with basic functionality available free", and that advanced features are in paid Content Hub editions. It drafts titles, outlines and posts in your brand voice and reports on blog ROI. Prices are not shown on that page.

Choose it if your website and CRM are already on HubSpot and you want one vendor.

Outvori: SEO that sits next to outreach

Outvori is our product, so here are the facts and the limits.

  • Articles from your brand profile: a free website scan builds a profile of your voice, offer, buyers and competitors. Topic ideas come from that profile, and each article is written in your voice with image briefs, internal links, an FAQ and structured data.
  • A check before publishing: a review flags gaps and unsupported claims. Nothing publishes without your approval unless you turn on auto-publish. See SEO articles.
  • Publishing: WordPress, Shopify or Wix. For other platforms you copy the HTML or Markdown. Soro covers more systems natively (Webflow, Notion, HubSpot, Ghost, Next.js) and more languages; if that matters most, Soro is the better pick.
  • Search Console data: once you connect Google, you see clicks and positions for each published page.
  • The part Soro does not do: Outvori also finds companies that fit your offer in official business registers, drafts cold emails for you to approve, and writes social posts and community group posts from the same profile. X and Google Business Profile auto-publish today; Instagram, Facebook Page and LinkedIn Page are coming soon, waiting on platform approval.
  • Price: the SEO articles module is $39 a month on its own. The Start plan at $99 includes 8 SEO articles, 30 social posts and 1,000 cold emails; Growth at $299 includes 30 articles. Full details on pricing and in Outvori vs Soro.

Eight articles a month is fewer than Soro's daily post. Our view is that fewer, reviewed articles that match what your buyers search, plus direct outreach, bring customers faster than volume alone. If you disagree and want a post every day in many languages, Soro or SEO.ai is the better fit.

How to choose

  1. You want a fully hands-off blog in several languages: Soro or SEO.ai.
  2. You or a writer will edit every piece: Surfer.
  3. You want many cheap drafts: Koala.
  4. Your site runs on HubSpot: HubSpot's AI blog writer.
  5. You want articles plus a way to reach buyers directly: Outvori. See also how to get website traffic without ads.

Whatever you pick, connect Google Search Console and check after a couple of months which pages get impressions and clicks. If impressions grow but clicks do not, read high impressions, low CTR.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Soro alternative?

It depends on the job. SEO.ai is closest in approach, Surfer suits teams that edit by hand, Koala is the cheapest per word, and Outvori adds outreach and social to SEO articles.

How much does Soro cost?

Soro's pricing page on 2 November 2026 showed "Starting from $18/mo" during a 77% off promotion. The regular price and per-plan prices were not shown on the pricing page.

Is AI-written SEO content against Google's rules?

No, not by itself. Google's guidance says AI content must meet the same standards as any content, and its spam policies target pages generated at scale without adding value, so review and fact-check what you publish.

Which CMSs does Outvori publish to?

WordPress, Shopify and Wix. For other platforms you can copy each article as HTML or Markdown.

Try it on any website.
