Apollo and Outvori both help a small team find companies and email them, but they start from different places. Apollo is a sales platform built around a very large database of named contacts, with sequences, a dialer and a Chrome extension on top. Outvori is an AI growth team: it starts from a scan of your website, finds companies that fit your offer in official business registers, drafts the emails for you to approve and also writes your SEO articles and social posts.
This page is written by the Outvori team, so read it with that in mind. Every Apollo fact comes from Apollo's own pages, checked on 2 November 2026, and we say plainly where Apollo is the better choice.
The short answer
Choose Apollo if your main job is finding named people by job title across many countries and you have reps who will work lists and sequences every day. Choose Outvori if you are a founder or small team that wants one tool to find companies, write and send approved emails, and keep content and social going, at one monthly price.

Data: register companies versus a contact database
Apollo's strength is volume and filters. If you need "VPs of Engineering at 200-1,000 person SaaS companies in Germany and Texas", a database of named people is the fastest way to get a list. Apollo's knowledge base explains how credits are used for exports, emails and mobile numbers, and its pricing page notes that credits are shared across the team and do not roll over.
Outvori starts from the company, not the person. Every company comes from a public, official register, with the register and its record stored, and agents then read the company's own website to describe what it does and find the contact details it publishes. That matters when a recipient asks where you got their data, and it means you are not paying for contacts that left the company a year ago. The trade-off is fewer named decision makers per company. Read how to find B2B leads in US and UK business registries for how this works in practice.
Sending and safety
Apollo leaves the mailboxes to you: you connect your Google or Microsoft account, and warm-up, daily volume and DNS are your responsibility. Outvori includes warmed mailboxes, caps each one at 30 cold emails a day after a 14-day ramp, puts your legal company name, postal address and an unsubscribe link in every campaign email, and switches back to manual approval if a spam complaint or a rise in hard bounces appears. See the cold email deliverability checklist for the rules behind those limits.
Content: the part Apollo does not do
Apollo is a sales tool. It does not write your blog, post to your social accounts or help you show up in communities. Outvori does, from the same brand profile it uses for emails: SEO articles with internal links and FAQs, posts and creatives on a calendar, and posts for groups where your buyers already talk. If you only need outbound, this is not a reason to switch. If you are also paying an agency or a second tool for content, it is.
Price
Apollo lists Free, Basic, Professional and Custom tiers on its pricing page; the dollar amounts for the paid tiers did not render when we checked on 2 November 2026, so check the page for current per-user prices. Outvori's plans start at $99 a month for one brand (Start), and single modules start at $29 (Find customers). See Outvori pricing.
When Apollo is the better choice
- You need large numbers of named contacts by title, in countries Outvori does not cover or does not prospect in (Outvori never prospects in Germany, Austria or Canada).
- Your team calls prospects and wants a built-in dialer.
- You already have content handled and only want a database plus sequences.
Frequently asked questions
Is Outvori an Apollo alternative?
For small teams, yes: it finds companies, writes and sends approved cold emails and handles replies. It is not a like-for-like database replacement, because it has far fewer named contacts and no dialer.
Does Outvori use Apollo's data?
No. Outvori's companies come from official business registers, and contact details are found on each company's own website.
Can I use Apollo and Outvori together?
Yes. Some teams keep Apollo for people search and use Outvori for content, social and register-based prospecting in markets like the UK and Scandinavia.
Which is cheaper for a solo founder?
It depends on what you need. Apollo has a free plan for prospecting; Outvori's Start plan at $99 a month covers prospecting, sending, articles and social for one brand. Compare both pricing pages on the day you decide, or scan your website free to see which companies Outvori would find for you.
